Vented, the damper must be clamped fully open with a damper stop (the C-CLAMP damper clamps sold below the cart — the stop is not in the carton), the flue opening must be at least 29 square inches, the chimney is professionally cleaned first, a thermostat is not allowed, and the heat-resistant-material and mantel rules no longer apply.
