It fits a solid-fuel-burning masonry fireplace, a UL127 factory-built fireplace or a listed vent free firebox whose firebox is at least 32\" wide, 17\" high and 19\" deep, with 16\" to a side wall and 42\" to the ceiling — but never a factory-built fireplace whose own instructions state it has not been tested or should not be used with unvented gas logs. At floor level keep 14\" to combustible flooring, or set the burner 5\" above it.
