About This Product

Warming Trends U100 100K BTU Round CROSSFIRE Brass Burner Kit — U100ALPL18C

The CROSSFIRE® burner is what made Warming Trends® a name installers ask for by brand. Instead of pushing gas through a ring of small ports, its patented brass jets pull air in and mix it before ignition — so you get a taller, fuller, more natural-looking flame on noticeably less gas than a conventional pan burner. This kit is built around the 11.75" x 10.5" round CROSSFIRE burner, ready to drop into a fire pit, fire table, or column you are building or refinishing. Add the 18" circular plate and choose your fuel and ignition above.

U100 CROSSFIRE Brass Burner Kit Features

  • Patented CROSSFIRE® brass jet design mixes air and gas before ignition for a taller, fuller flame than a conventional ring burner
  • Up to 100,000 BTU on natural gas or propane — the burner itself is universal, so only the ignition is fuel-specific
  • Solid brass burner body resists the corrosion and burn-through that eventually take out stainless and cast pan burners
  • Patented WATERSTOP® fitting keeps water and debris out of the gas line and ignition components
  • Optional 18" circular plate ships cut and finished — no fabrication needed on site
  • 6 ignition paths, from a simple match lit key valve upward
  • Designed, engineered, and assembled in the USA, and backed by a lifetime warranty on the brass burner

Ignition Options

Every CROSSFIRE® burner ships ready for the ignition you choose above. The systems differ in how you light the burner, whether they need power at the fire feature, how much gas they can pass, and — the one worth reading twice — whether they include an automatic safety gas shut-off.

  • Match Lit — The simplest and least expensive option — open the key valve and light the burner with a lighter. There is no automatic safety gas shut-off.
  • Push Button — Piezo (spark igniter). Turn the key valve and press the button to light the burner, so you never need a flame in hand. There is no automatic safety gas shut-off.
  • Mercury (battery driven) — A standing pilot system with a manual control knob to light the pilot and the burner and to adjust flame height. It needs no electricity at the fire feature and adds an automatic safety gas shut-off. Rated up to 240,000 BTU.
  • Carbon 3V (battery driven) — A battery-operated electronic ignition with an on/off switch and an available remote control. No electricity required, with an automatic safety gas shut-off. Rated up to 360,000 BTU.
  • Cobalt 12V — A 12-volt electronic system, ideal for installations near water. Multiple control options including remote control and home automation, with an automatic safety gas shut-off. Rated up to 490,000 BTU.
  • Platinum 24V — A 24-volt electronic system delivering up to 680,000 BTU. Multiple control options including remote control and home automation, with an automatic safety gas shut-off.

What's Included, What's Required (but purchased separately), and What's Optional

This is a burner kit, not a finished fire feature — it supplies the burning half and you supply the enclosure. Here is exactly how that breaks down.

  • Included: the 11.75" x 10.5" round CROSSFIRE® brass burner and the FK1 connection kit — flex gas line, connectors, and key valve.
  • You choose above: fuel type, the 18" circular plate, and which ignition system is fitted.
  • Required to complete the installation, purchased separately: a burner plate (select the standard size above, call us for a custom size, or select "No Thanks" and supply your own), an enclosure to house the burner, fire glass or lava rock to cover it, and a gas line sized and run by a qualified installer that meets the specifications outlined in the installation manual AND any local municipality code requirements.
  • Optional: a premium aluminum cover with handle, a wireless remote or dial timer if you go with an electronic ignition, and an access panel for the valve box.

Warranty

In the unlikely event your product experiences a defect, our technical team will guide you through the manufacturer’s warranty process. Here is a general outline of what to expect.

Due to the technical nature of our products, the manufacturer must perform troubleshooting to process a warranty claim. Your installer will need to troubleshoot the problem on-site while working in tandem with our technical team. If troubleshooting leads to what The Torch Guys deems as a defective part, we will submit a warranty claim to the manufacturer on your behalf. Before we submit the claim, we will ask you to review the terms and confirm your consent to proceed.

Once the claim is submitted, the manufacturer will review it and either approve or deny it. If they have all the information and accept the claim, your warranty replacement part(s) will begin processing for shipment. If, for any reason, the claim is denied or we need more information, we will notify you as soon as possible.

All warranties are processed as exchanges. You can expect to receive a prepaid return label for the defective part(s), which must be returned within 30 days of receiving the warranty replacement(s).

Warranty claims can take anywhere from 1-4 weeks to process, depending on the season. Given the length of time claims can take, we recommend you fire up your unit in late summer/early fall to ensure your existing fireplace is in good working order for the winter season.
