A 62" wide, 23" high electric fireplace only 7-1/8" deep that hangs on the wall, recesses partway, or builds in fully with one, two or three sides open. Choose the 62" if you want one fireplace that can start on the wall and move into it later: the same unit plugs into a 120 V outlet on its bracket, or hard-wires into a 62-1/2" x 23-7/16" opening as a one-, two- or three-sided build. It suits a living room or bedroom wall where a gas fireplace and its venting are not an option.
It is not right for you if you want a fireplace that only hangs on the wall. The FlexMount can hang, recess partway, or build in with one, two or three sides open.
Specifications
The fireplace measures 62" wide (61-11/16" inside), 23" high and 7-1/8" deep, and weighs 88.2 lb (137.8 lb packed). Partially recessed, it needs a 62-1/2" wide by 23-7/16" high opening in a non-load-bearing wall framed 3-1/2" deep and sits partly out from the wall; fully recessed, the same opening framed 7-1/2" deep. Keep curtains, furniture and bedding at least 36" away, and check the mantel drawings on page 14 of the installation manual before building a mantel or shelf above it. Power is 120 VAC plug-in at 1,500 W, or hard-wired at 120 V or 240 V (3,000 W), 60 Hz, on a dedicated 15 A grounded circuit.
How the 62" compares to the Astound FlexMount 50" and 74"

Answers to common questions
Does it need a vent, a chimney or a gas line?
No. The Astound FlexMount is electric and needs no venting, only power. Wall-mounted, it plugs into a grounded 120 V outlet on a dedicated 15 A circuit; recessed partway or fully, a qualified electrician hard-wires it at 120 V or 240 V. Extension cords and power strips are not allowed.
Can I recess it into the wall, and can the sides be open?
Yes. It hangs on the wall on its bracket, recesses partway into a non-load-bearing wall framed 3-1/2" deep, or builds in fully into a 62-1/2" x 23-7/16" opening 7-1/2" deep. Fully recessed, it can show the front only, the front and one side at the end of a wall, or three sides in a bump-out, and the panels and trims for each ship with the fireplace. Recessed installs are hard-wired by an electrician.
How much heat does it put out, and can I run it without heat?
On a 120 V outlet the heater makes about 5,000 BTU/hr (1,500 W); hard-wired to 240 V it doubles to about 10,000 BTU/hr (3,000 W). ECO mode runs at half heat, Boost runs full heat with a faster blower, and the built-in thermostat holds 64°F to 82°F. The flames, ember bed and top light all run with the heater off, so you can use it year-round.

Can I control it from my phone or by voice?
Yes. It connects to your home Wi-Fi and the Napoleon Home app (Android 7.0 or iOS 13.0 and later), which runs every mode, the flame, ember-bed and top-light colors, a timer and a schedule, even when you are away. It also works with Google Home and Alexa for select settings. The included remote and the control panel on the fireplace work without the app.
Where can it be installed?
Indoors only. It is approved for bedrooms, bed-sitting rooms and mobile homes, but not for bathrooms. Keep curtains, furniture and bedding at least 36" away, keep it out of high-traffic areas, and never block the heater vents.
How does the warranty work if I buy it online?
Napoleon covers the Astound FlexMount with a 3-year limited warranty: the heater and blower, motors, switches, the remote and the LED lights are replaced free for three years, labour is covered in the first year, and light bulbs and fuses are not covered. The Torch Guys is an authorized Napoleon dealer, so the full factory warranty applies, and if you ever need a part we file the claim with Napoleon for you.
