The Divine H38SVO 38" Outdoor See-Through from Montigo
It divides the patio from the garden without closing either one off — and with no vent to route, it can stand where you want it. The Divine H38SVO is a 38" outdoor-only see-through ventless gas fireplace with a traditional burner and logset: 45,000 BTU/hr on natural gas or propane - the highest output in the Divine line - a 41" x 38" x 23 7/8" framed opening in a fully non-combustible enclosure, from $8,639, covered by Montigo's residential fireplace warranty.
Choose it if you are dividing two outdoor areas - patio from pool deck, dining terrace from lounge - and want one fire visible from both sides, dressed traditional, with no venting to run. Your enclosure must be non-combustible top, bottom, and sides, and you need room for 12" side and 36" top clearances.
It is not right if you want it indoors or bridging an indoor and outdoor space (outdoor use only), if the enclosure would be wood-framed combustible construction, or if the location cannot absorb the large clearances - 12" sides, 36" top and header, 24" to a mantel, 48" to the ceiling.

The framed opening is 41" wide x 38" high x 23 7/8" deep, back-framed a minimum of 38" on both sides. The enclosure's top, bottom, and sides must be non-combustible; steel studs with concrete, rock, or stone are acceptable, and the facing can exceed 350°F. Clearances: 36" top and header, 12" sides, 0" floor, 24" to a mantel, 48" to the ceiling. Gas supply: natural gas at 5.5" w.c. minimum inlet or propane at 11" w.c. Standing-pilot models need no electricity; E models use 110 V Honeywell Hot Surface Ignition. An optional stainless steel fan-assisted freestanding enclosure with heat-discharge vents is available.
How the H38SVO compares to the other Divine outdoor models
Same fireplace, modern dress: the HL38SVO (from $8,639) swaps the logset for a linear burner with glass accessories. If you only need fire on one side of the wall, the single-sided outdoor line costs far less - the 42" H42VO gives 40,000 BTU/hr from $5,199, the 38" H38VO 34,000 BTU/hr from $4,419 - and carries much smaller clearances.

Can I install it indoors, or between an indoor and outdoor space?
No - it is for outdoor use only. It is a see-through divider for two outdoor areas, and the enclosure that houses it must be non-combustible on the top, bottom, and sides - steel studs faced with concrete, rock, or stone are acceptable. The facing can exceed 350°F in operation.
What does the enclosure have to be built from?
The framed opening is 41" W x 38" H x 23 7/8" D, back-framed a minimum of 38" on both sides, and the enclosure's top, bottom, and sides must be non-combustible (steel studs with concrete, rock, or stone are fine). What venting does it need?
None. This is an outdoor ventless see-through - no flue, no vent pipe, no chimney. Gas supply is the only rough-in: natural gas at 5.5" w.c. minimum inlet or propane at 11" w.c.
Does it need electricity? What happens in a power outage?
The standing-pilot versions (H38SVON, H38SVOL) use a SIT NOVA 820 millivolt system - no electricity needed. The E versions (H38SVONE, H38SVOLE) use Honeywell Hot Surface Ignition on a 110 V supply, with a remote switch in the wiring plan.
What fire media comes with it?
This is the traditional model - Montigo classes it as 'Traditional Burner / Logset' in its model table. If you want a linear burner with glass accessories instead, that is the HL38SVO.
