Corners are usually where a room runs out of ideas. This one puts the fire in both walls at once. The Divine H38C is a 38" two-sided corner gas fireplace with a traditional logset: 34,000 BTU/hr on natural gas (32,000 on propane), a 48" x 44" x 25 1/4" framed opening (the unit itself is 43 3/4" wide), $6,709, covered by Montigo's residential fireplace warranty. Direct vent, SIT Proflame 2 electronic ignition, built as a left- or right-facing corner.
Choose it if the best spot in the room is a corner and a flat fireplace would waste it. Glass wraps two adjoining sides, ordered left- or right-facing to match your room, with a classic ceramic logset. You need to frame a 48"-wide, 25 1/4"-deep corner opening.
It is not right if you want a standing pilot (none exists - every pier, bay, and corner Divine is electronic ignition), if you cannot frame the full 48" opening width with 5" side clearances, or if it would sit in an open, uncovered outdoor space.
The framed opening is 48" wide x 44" high x 25 1/4" deep; the unit itself measures 43 3/4" wide. Clearances: 13" above with a rear vent or 17 1/2" with a top vent, 4" header, 5" sides, 0" front, 2" rear. The supplied standoffs are required and maintain 8". Combustible surrounds need 3" of side clearance. Gas supply: natural gas at 5.5" w.c. minimum inlet or propane at 11" w.c. Electrical: 120 VAC, 60 Hz, 6 A with a 3.15 A fuse, plus a 4x AA battery backup.
Same price, different geometry: the bay H38PR ($6,709) shows glass on three sides from a wall installation, and the pier H38PF ($6,709) projects 41" into the room as a full peninsula. Prefer a modern linear flame in the same corner chassis? The HL38C runs $6,709 with firestones. Only need a flat two-sided divider? The see-through H38FSD starts at $4,759 with a standing-pilot option.
Pick the side at checkout. The left models are H38CLNI-2 (natural gas) and H38CLLI-2 (propane); the right models are H38CRNI-2 and H38CRLI-2 - all listed in Montigo's manual for this series. Choose based on which side of the corner the glass should wrap.
Any combustible mantel must stay within the mantel-projection zone, and combustible surrounds need at least 3" of side clearance. Run anything you plan to mount on the wall above past your installer first.
It is a direct-vent fireplace: 5" inner / 8" outer co-axial pipe, convertible to a top or rear vent run, terminating through the roof or an exterior wall. The termination must be the highest point of the vent run, and Montigo flex sections may not be cut. Vent pipe and termination are sold separately. Besides Montigo's own venting, approved alternates include DuraVent, ICC, MetalFab, Selkirk, and Flexmaster - The Torch Guys stocks DuraVent. If you need a power vent, that option requires Montigo pipe.
No. Every Divine pier, bay, and corner model uses SIT Proflame 2 electronic ignition - the SKUs all end in -NI-2 or -LI-2, and no standing-pilot variant exists.
Yes. The SIT Proflame 2 electronic ignition runs on 120 V but includes a 4x AA battery backup (part AF40BP), so you can still light the fireplace during a power outage.
Yes, with conditions. It is approved for a protected outdoor room: the overhang must cover at least 75% of the fireplace's height on the front and the sides, the supplied safety screen must stay installed, wiring must be outdoor-rated, and you cannot operate it below freezing (32°F).
