The SimpliFire 30" Built-In (SF-BI30-EB) is a traditional-style electric fireplace with a 28-1/4" W x 22-3/4" H view: one-piece glowing timber logs over a lighted ember bed, four flame colors, and a multi-function remote. It ships hardwire-ready with a plug/cord kit and installs before drywall into finishes up to 3 in. thick — tile, shiplap, stone, brick, or drywall. Wire it for 120V for a 5,000 BTU/hr assist, or 240V for 10,000 BTU/hr. from $1,299.
Choose it if you want a clean, recessed traditional firebox for new construction or a remodel, finished into the wall before drywall, with the flexibility to plug in or hardwire.
It is not a primary heat source — 5,000-10,000 BTU/hr is supplemental warmth. It also installs pre-drywall into a rough opening, so it is not a drop-in for an existing finished wall.
The SF-BI30-EB sets into a 26-3/4" H x 33" W x 11-3/4" D rough opening as a zero-clearance design (2 in. of top clearance is required only when hardwired for 240V), with 36 in. to combustibles at the front. It runs on a 15 A, 60 Hz circuit at either voltage.
The Built-In comes in two sizes on the same platform: the 30" here and the 36" (from $1,499). Same features and install — pick the width for your opening.
Either. It ships hardwire-ready and includes a plug/cord kit, so you can plug into a nearby outlet or hardwire it. Wiring for 240V doubles the heat output to 10,000 BTU/hr.
Pre-drywall: it sets into a rough framed opening before the wall is finished, then finishes into tile, shiplap, stone, brick, or drywall up to 3 in. thick. Plan a circuit at the opening before you close the wall.
5,000 BTU/hr on 120V and 10,000 BTU/hr on 240V — supplemental warmth, not a primary heat source. The flame runs independently of the heater, so you can use it any time of year.
