The SimpliFire 35" Electric Insert (SF-INS35) drops into an existing masonry or factory-built fireplace — or into new construction — with a 32-1/8" W x 19" H view: a petite log set over clear and black crystal media, nine flame colors, and 13 ember-bed colors. A decorative front is included, and it plugs into a standard 120V outlet or hardwires. from $1,359.
Choose it to convert an existing wood-burning firebox to clean electric heat and flame, or to drop into new construction — it plugs in, so no gas line or chimney work.
It is not a primary heat source — 5,000 BTU/hr is a supplemental assist. It's an insert, so it needs an existing fireplace opening or a framed opening to sit in, not a flat wall.
The SF-INS35 sets into an existing fireplace or a framed opening (35-1/2" x 23-1/2" x 11-3/8") with zero clearance at the sides, floor, top, and back and 36 in. at the front. It runs on a 15 A, 120V grounded circuit — plug the 7.8 ft. cord into an outlet, or hardwire it.
The Electric Insert comes in 25", 30", and 35": 25" (from $1,019), 30" (from $1,129). Same insert platform — match it to your opening.
The SF-INS35 is designed to drop into an existing masonry or factory-built firebox, or into new construction. Check your opening against the insert dimensions (35" W x 28" H x 11-1/4" D); optional surrounds in two sizes cover the gap around the opening.
Yes — it ships with a 7.8 ft. NEMA 5-15P cord for a standard grounded 120V outlet, and it can also be hardwired with the supplied junction block. No gas line or chimney work.
5,000 BTU/hr of supplemental warmth, with a heat-disengagement switch so you can run the flame with the heat off. It's not a primary heat source.
