The SF-FORMAT36 from SimpliFire

The SimpliFire Format 36" (SF-FORMAT36) is a wall-mounted linear electric fireplace that hangs on a finished wall — no framing or recessing. A one-piece ShadowGlo Alpine Timber log set sits under four flame colors and 13 accent-light colors. It is finished with a white Format mantel surround, required to complete the install, in a 43-, 50-, or 60-inch width — add one above, or use the mantel you already have. It ships hardwire-ready with a plug/cord kit. from $819.

Choose it when you want a finished, mantel-framed electric fireplace mounted on an existing wall without opening up framing — the Format hangs on a bracket and finishes with a matching white surround.

It is not a primary heat source, and it is not a recessed firebox — the Format mounts on the wall surface and is finished with a Format mantel kit (43, 50, or 60 in.), which is required to complete the install unless you already have one.

Specifications

The SF-FORMAT36 mounts to a finished wall with the included bracket at zero clearance to combustibles on all sides and 36 in. at the front, on a 15 A, 120V circuit. A mantel kit — 43, 50, or 60 in. — completes the installation.

Does it need framing, or does it mount on the wall?

It mounts on the surface of a finished wall with the included bracket — no framing or recessing. Plan a 15 A, 120V circuit at the bracket; you can plug in, hardwire, or run it from a wall switch.

Free curbside freight delivery on every order over $399. Inspect the shipment before signing and note any damage on the delivery receipt — freight damage claims must be reported within 5 business days. Most items can be returned within 30 days of delivery as long as the product hasn't been installed, is in the same condition you received it, and all original packaging is intact. Return shipping and the original outbound freight cost are deducted from the refund, and a manufacturer restocking fee may apply. Custom and made-to-order products are final sale. Cancellations are free any time before shipment (custom orders excepted). Threshold and white-glove delivery upgrades are available — ask our team.

Warranty

In the unlikely event your product experiences a defect, our technical team will guide you through the manufacturer’s warranty process. Here is a general outline of what to expect.

Due to the technical nature of our products, the manufacturer must perform troubleshooting to process a warranty claim. Your installer will need to troubleshoot the problem on-site while working in tandem with our technical team. If troubleshooting leads to what The Torch Guys deems as a defective part, we will submit a warranty claim to the manufacturer on your behalf. Before we submit the claim, we will ask you to review the terms and confirm your consent to proceed.

Once the claim is submitted, the manufacturer will review it and either approve or deny it. If they have all the information and accept the claim, your warranty replacement part(s) will begin processing for shipment. If, for any reason, the claim is denied or we need more information, we will notify you as soon as possible.

All warranties are processed as exchanges. You can expect to receive a prepaid return label for the defective part(s), which must be returned within 30 days of receiving the warranty replacement(s).

Warranty claims can take anywhere from 1-4 weeks to process, depending on the season. Given the length of time claims can take, we recommend you fire up your unit in late summer/early fall to ensure your existing fireplace is in good working order for the winter season.
