Includes ventless outdoor models (no flue required), purpose-built outdoor fireplaces, and the only Montigo platform approved for both indoor and outdoor installation.

Venting Configurations
Montigo outdoor fireplaces are all ventless — no flue, chimney, or vent pipe required. Ventless outdoor models (Divine VO/SVO, Mahana) dilute combustion directly into ambient air. The Exemplar R324 STIO is the only Montigo model approved for both indoor and outdoor installation, designed as a ventless pass-through that vents through an exterior wall opening.
Ventless outdoor units must be installed under a roof, pergola, or other overhead structure with adequate clearance — never fully exposed to open sky. R324 STIO is designed as a pass-through with one face on an interior wall and one face on the exterior wall.

Can outdoor fireplaces be installed indoors?
No. Ventless outdoor models (Divine VO/SVO, Mahana) use ambient air dilution and are not approved for indoor-only installation. The Exemplar R324 STIO is the only Montigo model approved for both indoor and outdoor installation, used as a pass-through wall fireplace where one side is indoor and the other side is outdoor.
What's the difference between Divine Outdoor and Mahana?
Both are ventless outdoor gas. Divine outdoor models share the H38 38" burner with their indoor siblings — useful for matching aesthetic between an indoor Divine and an outdoor Divine in the same project. Mahana is purpose-built outdoor: 304 stainless construction, quartz firestones, 42" and 60" widths, and cold-weather engineered.
Do I need a covered space for ventless outdoor fireplaces?
Yes. Ventless outdoor units must be installed under a roof, pergola, or other overhead structure with adequate clearance. They cannot be installed fully exposed to open sky or in fully enclosed rooms.
Can I convert from natural gas to propane?
Yes, with a propane conversion kit. Select propane as your fuel type on our website and the conversion kit is automatically added to your order.
