Installation Instructions

Step 1: Ensure the gas supply to the firebox is turned off. If applicable, turn off the electric supply to the firebox.

Step 2: Install the pre-wired junction box if not already present. This should be done by a qualified electrician in compliance with local codes.

Step 3: Blower Assembly Installation

  • Remove the air deflector from the blower assembly.
  • Insert the blower assembly into the interior bottom of the firebox for Deluxe and Premium models, or the rear for Select models.
  • Align the notch on the back of the blower assembly with the center screw on the firebox back and push the blower assembly against the back wall of the firebox.

Step 4: Feed the fan control wires through the designated hole at the top of the firebox, secure the fan control switch with the provided screws, and connect the fan control wires to the blower motor and power cord as specified.

Step 5: Attach the ground wire from the blower base to the outer bottom of the fireplace using the provided hardware.

Step 6: Plug the power cord into the junction box receptacle. Test the blower fan control operation by turning on the power and applying heat to the fan control switch inside the firebox. Ensure proper operation and no interference with the blower assembly.

Step 7: Replace any removed panels or louvers, and ensure all wiring is safely routed away from moving parts.

Inspect the shipment before signing and note any damage on the delivery receipt — freight damage claims must be reported within 5 business days. Most items can be returned within 30 days of delivery as long as the product hasn't been installed, is in the same condition you received it, and all original packaging is intact. Return shipping and the original outbound freight cost are deducted from the refund, and a manufacturer restocking fee may apply. Custom and made-to-order products are final sale. Cancellations are free any time before shipment (custom orders excepted). Threshold and white-glove delivery upgrades are available — ask our team.

    Warranty

    In the unlikely event your product experiences a defect, our technical team will guide you through the manufacturer’s warranty process. Here is a general outline of what to expect.

    Due to the technical nature of our products, the manufacturer must perform troubleshooting to process a warranty claim. Your installer will need to troubleshoot the problem on-site while working in tandem with our technical team. If troubleshooting leads to what The Torch Guys deems as a defective part, we will submit a warranty claim to the manufacturer on your behalf. Before we submit the claim, we will ask you to review the terms and confirm your consent to proceed.

    Once the claim is submitted, the manufacturer will review it and either approve or deny it. If they have all the information and accept the claim, your warranty replacement part(s) will begin processing for shipment. If, for any reason, the claim is denied or we need more information, we will notify you as soon as possible.

    All warranties are processed as exchanges. You can expect to receive a prepaid return label for the defective part(s), which must be returned within 30 days of receiving the warranty replacement(s).

    Warranty claims can take anywhere from 1-4 weeks to process, depending on the season. Given the length of time claims can take, we recommend you fire up your unit in late summer/early fall to ensure your existing fireplace is in good working order for the winter season.
