The DelRay Linear 48" Basic from Montigo
The Montigo DelRay Linear 48" Basic (DRL4813NI) needs a 14¼" framing depth — shallow for a linear fireplace this wide, but deeper than a stud wall, so plan on a chase or a bump-out. Montigo builds the 36, 48, and 60 to that same 14¼" cavity. And Montigo's firebox design lets combustible wood facing run right down to the glass opening, so the finished wall reads as one surface with fire in it rather than a metal box set into drywall. 21,000 BTU on natural gas at 63% efficiency; on propane, 19,000 BTU at 60%. Choose the DelRay 48 if you want a wide linear flame without surrendering much floor depth. Cool Wall Advantage lets combustible finishes come right down to the opening, so your millwork or stone runs to the glass instead of stopping at a metal border. It is approved for outdoor rooms, and it can be installed in manufactured homes.
It is not right if you need primary heat for a large space — at 21,000 BTU this is supplemental zone heat, not a furnace. It is not rated for installations above 4,500 feet elevation, and it cannot run vent-free: a Montigo direct-vent run (sold separately) is required.
Specifications
Framing dimensions are 55⅜" wide × 33 11/16" high × 14¼" deep. Required clearances are 21" to the top, 1" at the sides, 2" at the back, and 0" to the floor. The viewing area is 48½" × 14 11/16". It runs on natural gas or propane (conversion kit GCA019), uses intermittent pilot ignition (IPI), requires a standard 115V circuit, and is rated for elevations from 0 to 4,500 ft.
This is the Basic configuration: it comes with Proflame Basic IPI ignition and a standard safety screen. The circulating fan, reflective black glass liner, micro mesh safety screen, and handheld remote are available as add-ons.
DelRay Linear 48: Basic vs. Full Load
Both configurations are the same fireplace — identical firebox, 21,000 BTU output, viewing area, and framing. The Full Load (DRL4813NI-2, $5,619) adds the Proflame 2 system with multi-function remote, integrated blower, micro mesh safety screen, reflective glass liner, halogen downlighting, and battery backup; the Basic (DRL4813NI, $3,919) starts with Proflame Basic ignition and a standard safety screen, with those upgrades available individually. Rule of thumb: if the fireplace will be at eye level in a main living space, the Full Load's lighting, liner, and remote earn the difference; for a secondary room or a high mount, the Basic looks nearly identical for less.
Answers to common questions
Can I mount a TV above this fireplace?
Careful consideration should always be given to mounting heat sensitive objects — like TVs or artwork — above a fireplace.
The Cool Wall Advantage Kit (optional/not included with the fireplace) is specifically designed to divert heat away from heat sensitive objects, creating an area safer for mounting a TV or hanging artwork. Specific examples for TVs and combustible mantels are provided in the installation manual.

What venting does it need, and is it included?
Venting is not included. The DelRay is a direct-vent fireplace that runs on Montigo's venting system, and the installation manual also approves alternate venting components from DuraVent, ICC, MetalFab, Selkirk, and Flexmaster (a DuraVent adaptor is available for collared components). Co-linear installs into an existing chimney are supported using DuraVent conversion parts. Send us your wall drawing and we'll spec the exact run and parts list before you order.
Does it work during a power outage?
The ignition is electronic (IPI), so out of the box the Basic model needs power; a battery backup option is available — ask our team to add it if outage operation matters to you.
Can it go in an outdoor room?
Yes. The DelRay Linear is approved for outdoor rooms — covered outdoor living spaces — as well as indoor installations.
Is it approved for mobile or manufactured homes?
Yes, as an OEM installation in a manufactured home (USA) or mobile home, installed per the Manufactured Home Construction and Safety Standard (Title 24 CFR, Part 3280).
