Napoleon Tall Vector 62" See-Through Linear Direct Vent Gas Fireplace
The Napoleon Tall Vector 62" See-Through is a see-through linear direct vent gas fireplace with a tall 64-9/16" by 26-13/16" view, MIRRO-FLAME porcelain reflective panels, multi-color LED ember lights, Night Light top lights, a ProFlame II remote and the eFIRE phone app included. It is rated 44,000 BTU/hr on natural gas, or 38,000 on propane with Napoleon's conversion kit, behind 5 mm ceramic glass and a black safety barrier screen, and the fire shows from both rooms — from $12,799 before the burning display and any log set you choose above. It vents through a 5" / 8" pipe off the top, frames 77-13/16" wide, and carries Napoleon's President's Lifetime Limited Warranty.
Choose it if you want a tall, long linear fire dressed your way — glass beads or glass embers in eleven colors, a Woodland kit or mineral rocks, with High Definition Birch, Driftwood or Oak logs on top if you like — with a remote and the eFIRE app to set the flame and the ember-bed color, seen from two rooms at once. It is approved for bedrooms and bathrooms as well as living rooms.
It is not right for you if you are looking for a true linear aesthetic. With its nearly 27" tall glass viewing area, the Tall Linear Vector gives more of a landscape view than a typical linear fireplace.

Answers to common questions
What’s included, what’s required, and what’s optional?
-

Required to complete the installation, purchased separately: Burning Display - crushed glass embers, glass beads or a media kit; Venting - 5" / 8" direct vent pipe and a wall or roof termination sized for your run; rigid pipe or a power vent on propane (see pg 14 in the installation manual); ⚠ Propane installs require rigid vent pipe (if opting for flex pipe, a power vent is required); Enclosure - a framed, finished enclosure at least 91" tall from the base of the fireplace (see pg 27 in the installation manual); Non-Combustible Finish - brick, stone, tile or non-combustible board for 15-5/8" above and 7" either side of the opening, on both faces; Electrical - a grounded 110 V supply, hard-wired to the fireplace; Gas Line - a 1/2" gas supply to the fireplace's shut-off valve.
-
Optional: Log sets, sold separately - High Definition Birch, Driftwood or Oak logs to sit on the burning display; A vertical or external wall venting package, heat management (Dynamic Heat Control, Dynamic Heat Control Plus, Ducted Heat Management or the Hot Air Distribution Kit), a power vent adaptor kit, a 5/8" finishing trim, the Wall Mount Control and the Woodland media enhancement — the fireplace operates fully without any of them.
What venting does the Tall Vector 62" See-Through need?
It is a direct vent fireplace on a 5" / 8" pipe off the top of the unit, out through a wall or up through the roof, up to 20 ft horizontally and up to 40 ft vertically. On natural gas the pipe can be rigid or flexible; on propane it must be rigid pipe or a power vent, and a power vent is also the way past the 40 ft limit. Use one brand throughout — Napoleon, Metal-Fab, BDM, Simpson Dura-Vent or Selkirk Direct Temp — and do not mix rigid and flexible pipe. Napoleon's 5" / 8" wall terminals are the GD422R-2 round terminal and the ST58U-1 Silhouette, with roof kits for pitched and flat roofs and GD420 / GD430 flexible vent kits. The vent run and termination are ordered separately and sized to your installation (see pg 14 in the installation manual).
Can I mount a TV above it?
Yes, with planning — add Napoleon's optional Dynamic Heat Control. It moves the heat away from the wall above the fireplace without a fan, so a TV, sound bar or artwork can go there, and it is installed with the fireplace rather than added after the wall is finished. Without it the wall above gets hot; the minimum TV clearances with a mantel are drawn on page 57 of the installation manual. Either way, stay within your TV maker's own temperature limits.
Where can it be installed?
Indoors, including bedrooms, bathrooms and bed-sitting rooms, and it is certified for mobile and manufactured homes where local codes allow (secured in place). As a see-through it can sit in the wall between two rooms, serviced from one side. It is rated to 4,500 ft, with the input reduced above that. Keep furniture and other objects at least 48" from the front, and do not run it below freezing.
What gas and electrical connections does it need?
A 1/2" natural gas or propane line to the fireplace's flex connector and shut-off valve, connected and tested before the wall is finished — natural gas at 4.5" to 7" w.c. inlet pressure, propane at 11" to 13" w.c. It is hard-wired to a grounded 110 V supply, and the 4 AA battery wall switch keeps the fire turning on and off in a power outage. It ships for natural gas and converts to propane with Napoleon's kit W175-0843, fitted by a qualified installer.
Does buying online affect my Napoleon warranty?
No. The Torch Guys is an authorized Napoleon dealer, so the President's Lifetime Limited Warranty applies in full, and we file claims with Napoleon for you. The combustion chamber, burner, logs, embers, rocks, ceramic glass and porcelain parts are covered for as long as you own the fireplace — parts free for the first 10 years, then at half of retail; valves, remotes and other electrical parts and the labour are covered for the first year. Coverage starts on the installation date.
